| About Us Actuarial Risk Management ("ARM") is a privately held actuarial and management consulting firm, based in Austin, TX. Actuarial Risk Management competes with national actuarial consulting firms through ARM’s dedicated network of independent actuarial professionals covering all facets of the industry. Our network has a core team of over 30 qualified and skilled consulting actuaries, many of whom have decades of experience. ARM provides all levels of actuarial services under one name using many of the same consultants once employed by large national firms, but who now own independent firms. This gives you access to highly qualified actuaries without the high overhead cost of the larger firms, while providing you with a greater level of personal service. ARM’s network of professionals covers all risk sectors, including Property & Casualty, Life, Health Insurance, Managed Care, Employee Benefits, Retirement, and Banking. ARM also provides our clients with access to non-actuarial services ranging from captive services to administration. |
| Corwin K. Zass Principal, Actuarial Risk Management Cory Zass is the Principal of Actuarial Risk Management (ARM). In his 15 years as an actuary, Mr. Zass evolved from working as an insurance company Chief Actuary to a Consulting Actuary at a small firm, to his current position as the owner of ARM. He directs all risk management and actuarial assignments, and continues to help in all aspects of various engagements. Throughout Mr. Zass’s consulting career, he has advised insurance, reinsurance, employee benefits and managed care entities. He is able to translate complex actuarial concepts into easily understood language. He has spent numerous years honing the acquisition skill set required in the fast paced M&A market. Mr. Zass has a BSc degree from the University of Manitoba and became an Associate of the Society of Actuaries shortly following his graduation. He is a Member of the American Academy of Actuaries and is a Fellow of the Conference of Consulting Actuaries along with memberships in various American Academy of Actuaries Working Groups. He continually expands his risk management skills and has memberships with the Association for Corporate Growth, the American Society of Healthcare Risk Management, and the American Association of Insurance Management Consultants. Mr. Zass is the chief editor of ARM’s monthly actuarial newsletter Risk Review for the BDO family. |
